Michael is Programme Leader for the Masters in Global Learning Futures at the University of East London and Curriculum Development and Enhancement Lead in the School of Arts and Creative Industries.
He is active at the intersection of interdisciplinary creative arts practice, innovation, learning and teaching, and technology, with a background working for arts organisations, museums and galleries, universities, schools and colleges, education and arts charities, and not-for-profit organisations in the UK, North and South America, and Australia.
Current projects:
1) Meta-Praxis http://www.metapraxisproject.org, a 3-year project working with 12 schools in Adelaide to develop new practices and pedagogies for reflexive interdisciplinary learning.
2) Synoptic Impact Mapping Project, developing a model and interactive tool for mapping planned and emergent teaching and learning impact. The model provides a continuum to diagnose and map areas of teaching and learning impact and growth dynamically across multidimensional domains, including peer and self-assessment, to provide enhanced proximal referencing for reflexive interdisciplinary learning at primary, secondary and tertiary stages of education:
