Transforming schools with passion, projects and purpose. 

Loni is the founder of Imagine If, a Denmark-based organization dedicated to supporting school and system transformation until all young people are empowered and are thriving. Using Project-Based Learning as a catalyst for practice, Imagine If supports schools with organizational and cultural change for holistic development that empowers young people and places "work that matters" at the center of all learning experiences. Imagine If works with several whole-municipality transformation projects in Denmark, including Playful Learning in collaboration with The LEGO Foundation. 

Before Denmark, Loni was a completely normal 8th grade teacher in San Diego and stumbled on High Tech High by accident. Frustrated by the traditional system, she quickly fell in love with Project-Based Learning and received her M.Ed. at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education in Teacher Leadership. Eventually, she became a Humanities teacher at High Tech Middle, High Tech Middle Chula Vista and High Tech High Chula Vista. Since 2013, she's been working in Europe to support with PBL implementation at the Innovation Unit (London), Kata Foundation (Denmark) before founding Imagine If in 2019.

Loni met her husband while walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. They walked the Camino together and were engaged 30 days later... they have three children and live outside Copenhagen, Denmark.
