Before co-founding Learnlife, Blair spent 14 years in Barcelona as a venture capital investor at ACTIVE Venture Partners, a European venture capital fund manager specialised in investments in early and expansion stage technology companies, and has a strong track record supporting entrepreneurs and start-up teams in building their businesses. Prior to moving to Barcelona from Scotland, he worked as a UK qualified corporate lawyer for 7 years advising start-ups, SMEs and large multinationals on all aspects of UK corporate law.

He has a deep understanding of strategy, corporate law, M&A, fundraising, fund administration, financial planning, and advisory work. He is an organised, reliable, logical and strategic thinker, action orientated, and a creative problem solver, highly committed to projects and people.

He believes that positive communities and collaboration will form the basis of how we live together in the future, and keeps Learnlife’s mission on track as a member of its board and head of operations and finance.
