Traditionally we hear “sustainability” and we think of recycling and “green” activities. We must expand this association to include all systems in schools - financial, social, educational, environmental and wellbeing. Understanding school sustainability from the perspective of systems thinking gives us the power to take real action right now, as administrators, as educators and as students.
