[RE]LEARN 2020 - The Learning Innovation Festival

Our topic is focused on understanding how we can use our African communities and cultures as a cradle of innovation so as to build upon the colonially rooted systems of learning which have remained the foundational premise on which learning is hinged around the African continent.
Our objective is to use the multi-cultural experience that exists within the African continent. We are firm believers that the best way to improve the learner experience is by using what they know and understand to get them to learn about that which they may not know or understand properly.
The topic of interest is important because it is a means of understanding how colonially founded learning has affected the African community and what can be done to leverage the cultural diversity across the continents as a means to learn, unlearn and relearn for a collective experience
We expect the audience to better understand what the role of cultural practices and methods of learning can do to help the learner in their search for knowledge and understanding
