Most strategic plans take years to create. By the time they are written, advancements in technology, new innovations, and opportunities have rendered them obsolete.

What if there was a faster way to write and implement a school's strategic vision?

There is. Through micro-schools.

From farm based programs, to entrepreneurial partnerships, this interactive workshop will take school leaders through a rapid design process to create a prototype for their own 'micro-schools,' or 'academies' to accelerate innovation on their own campuses. In small teams, participants will first create a vision for what they want student learning to look like while identifying current threats and obstacles to that vision. Participants will then begin the ideation and prototype of micro-academies to reach this unique vision; detailing learner experience, timetabling, community partnerships, required facilities and reporting structures. During each step of the process, they will be guided by real micro-school case studies and expert facilitation from Kyle Wagner, a world renowned learning accelerator. Participants will emerge from the session with their own 'micro-school' prototype that accelerates learning and innovation on their larger campus back home.
