Change Mapping with 'Touchline'

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Participants will learn to use a tool called 'Touchline' tool that can connect the learner experience to the learning environment, and the employee experience to the work environment. The tool identifies key 'moments' that we wish to see become commonplace within an environment and then provides a scaffolded process for applying this aspiration to changes to the environment.

Since the tool is domain-agonistic it can be used in either school, corporate, or other contexts. Its primary goal is to allow collaborative teams to follow a design thinking process that results in clear outcomes for changes to the existing context in line with a vision for the future human experience in that context.

In this session participants will work through several steps in using the tool in practice. They will emerge with a technique that can be applied in small ways (e.g. a reflective teacher meeting, planning for a new unit, etc), but also has potential for whole-organisation transformation (e.g. in the context of a new building, premises, tech program, re-fit, innovation program, etc).

The emphasis in this session will be practical use in a school context, but in continuation with the keynote, will include links to the parallels between the current evolution of learning and work environments using the Touchline categories.
