After the nation wide lockdown mid-march our studies at intrinsic campus were put on hold, but not for long! We decided to shift our energy towards a service for the public called intrinsic challenge. We asked people to submit their challenges in connection with Covid-19 and digital learning and in a few days they came in by the dozens. How can we have a decent graduation event considering the lockdown measures? How can we find new ways of grading students when we can not see them physically? Challenges like these, put the students and experts at the intrinsic campus to the test. In small self-organized groups, we got together and used digital white boards, zoom break-out rooms and leaned into the real-life challenges at hand. Our promise to the public? We will present them with three concrete solutions to their challenges within a week. Our learnings? Transparent co-creation, prototyping, unfiltered ideation, being aware of the possibility of failure, being in a state of makeness and learning from each other.
What a rush! This learning experience has shaped our culture at intrinsic and is now a meaningful part of our DNA. We chose to take the opportunity this disruption gave us and find real life solutions to real life problems.
If you want to know more about the new normal of learning, we would be more than delighted to share our insights, knowledge and experiences with you and your audience.
