Learning objective: to develop an appreciation of the power of alumni networks in low resource environments as a catalyst for change in education, moving away from external education interventions and effectively utilising and funding expertise and resource that already exists. Ultimately, it is to think differently about how children might get more from their current school experience, through role models they can relate to.

Session entails: a brief introduction to why we believe alumni networks are useful as a tool for social change in low resource environments, and a brief outline of how we do it through our methodology. A story sharing segment where you will hear from people who have been positively impacted by alumni networks.

Intended audience: funders, founders and NGO staff working in education innovation to plug the school to work transition and skills gap in low to middle income countries.
