2020 is a time of historic importance because around the world we have been given a unique opportunity to take a collective pause. From this pause, many have recognised there urgency to respond to these ongoing disruptions that young people are experiencing in their education and evolve school to ensure success for every young person, regardless of what that might look like.

World wide there is a strong consensus that our education system is one was designed years ago and our students are a legacy of that system. Quite simply, it is not doing them any favours. Our students are part of future that does not place value of just being a passive takers of information in a system that equates education with knowledge acquisition. Our schooling system is not broken, it is simply no longer fit for purpose. It was built in response to a different time. So how do we move from school designed for the last century towards schools for the 21st century?

In her keynote, Jen Buchanan takes you on a journey, a voyage around the world, an adventure. Her courage to immerse herself into different cultures, take on the challenges and learn from the experience means that she has insights many would only dream of. Each new environment offering a new perspective, new way of seeing the world, new way of learning. Audience members are given three questions to ask to ignite a mindset needed to implement change and innovate change.
