[RE]LEARN 2020 - The Learning Innovation Festival

Listeners will learn how sitting passively in a class or even taking notes in a class is not an effective way to learn. They will experience what it is like to be an active learner and why interacting with people you don't know well promotes curiosity. I will also go over my TRICK philosophy explained in my book How to Raise Successful People: Simple Lessons for Radical Results. TRICK stands for Trust, Respect, Independence, Collaboration and Kindness. I will give examples from parenting and from teaching that help listeners understand the power of each part of the acronym.
