[RE]LEARN 2020 - The Learning Innovation Festival

Working around my website www.biomebioyou.eu the workshop will delve deeper into the Holistic and GREEN Creativity of STEM..STEAM..STREAMS Education and the 21 Century skills that enable and empower communities.
It cannot be denied, that the benefits of STEM and STEAM education are significant in inspiring students globally, to think broadly and solve problems with a hands-on, very often scientific approach in schools. They cultivate meaningful, 21 Century learning and empower students through collaborative exploration and real-world problems. Irrespective of how some critics may view their overall "focus" or "over-focus" on future employment skills development, as opposed to the holistic development of the whole person, this workshop will initially propose STEM and STEAM as the biological DNA of STREAMS education and then explore its central role in the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR), the Internet-Of-Things (IoT) and their effect on creative approaches to authentic, 21 Century teaching, (RE)learning and learning environments. Finally, to full embrace the challenges and opportunities offered to schools by the 4IR and the IoT and to also take a deeper look at the possible threats that may be inherently posed and the perceived vulnerabilities around school environments, this workshop will further explore the 'flip-side' of the coin in inciting an open discussion on an open SCOT analysis of the topic.
