For over 50 years, we have heard of how real change can make a positive impact on learning and teaching. But even in these pandemic days, the resistance to change in education remains strong and emotional. We have all read and heard countless visions of change but very very few ways to make it happen on a large scale.  Ron will reveal the critical mistakes that advocates for change in education continually do. He will explain that finding strategies to convince people, rather than impressing them, will greatly assist the change process. He will also suggest that the choice of words used by advocates of change in education will usually produce more negative reactions than desired. This keynote is not for the faint of heart but rather for those who know that persistent courage, grit and vigour will create conditions of successful change. Ron has accumulated over 44 years in Canadian public education, has occupied a vast number of positions and led Canada's first 1:1 laptop deployment (2nd in North America) for all students and educators, free of charge, in 2003!!! You will certainly find the results both enlightening and insightful!!  As Ron has said over the past 20 years, "No courage, no change"
